This pendant sets a genuine billon coin minted between years 1221 and 1284 AD. Alfonso 10th “The Wise” was one of the most important Spanish kings, not only because of his political labour during “The Reconquista”, but also with his contribution to the arts and sciences.
The coin shows the coats of arms of Castilla and Leon Kingdoms. Billon was an alloy of copper and silver.
Its conservation status is excellent. We have designed and handcrafted for it a 18k gold setting that protects and embellishes it, and converts this coin in a unique jewel, 700 years later.
