18k Gold Earrings with Handmade Almoravid and Almohad Coins, 1,000 Years Old. The upper coins are Almoravid silver quirats dating between 1040 and 1147 AD. The lower square coins are Almohad silver dirhams from 1121 to 1269 AD. The Arabic inscriptions typically reference the ruler who minted the coin on one side, while the other side features religious text. These coins circulated throughout North Africa and the Iberian Peninsula during the entirety of the Middle Ages.
